dazie FAQ
What is dazie?
dazie is a voice-first journaling companion in early access. You create a companion with its own name and personality and talk things through with it in the web app at app.dazie.io. Scheduled phone check-ins that turn a conversation into a journal entry with insights and follow-ups are coming soon.
How is voice journaling with dazie different from dictating notes?
Dictation records what you already planned to say. dazie runs a conversation: it asks questions, follows up, and remembers what you told it before, so you reflect instead of just recording.
Can dazie call me?
Not yet. Scheduled phone check-ins, where dazie calls you at a time you choose, are coming soon. Today you talk with your companion in the web app.
Does dazie remember previous conversations?
Yes. Your companion keeps memories of the people, goals and events you mention and uses them to add context to later conversations.
Is dazie a replacement for therapy?
No. dazie is a reflection tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number (112 in the EU).
What does dazie cost?
Nothing. dazie is free during early access and has no paid plans today.
Is my journal used to train AI?
No. Your journal is used only to run dazie for you. It is never sold and never used to train AI models.
Can I connect my own AI assistant to dazie?
Yes. Claude or any assistant that supports remote MCP servers can connect to your dazie journal after you approve it. See how to connect your AI assistant at www.dazie.io/connect.html.
How do I get a copy of my journal or delete it?
Email niklas@dazie.io and ask for a copy or for your account and journal to be deleted.
Who is behind dazie?
dazie is an independent project by Niklas Springer. You can reach him at niklas@dazie.io.
