dazie terms of service
These terms apply when you use dazie. If anything is unclear, write to niklas@dazie.io. How dazie handles data on the public website is in the privacy notice.
Who we are
dazie is run by Niklas Springer. You can reach us at niklas@dazie.io. These terms cover the dazie web app at app.dazie.io, the public website at www.dazie.io, the documentation at docs.dazie.io, and dazie's MCP and agent endpoints at api.dazie.io.
What dazie is
dazie is a voice-first journaling companion in early access. You create a companion, talk or write to it, and dazie turns the conversation into journal entries, insights, follow-ups and memories.
Early access means features change, some are not available yet, and things can break. Scheduled phone calls are still coming soon. dazie is free during early access.
dazie is not therapy
dazie is a reflection tool. It is not a medical device, a therapist, or a crisis service, and nothing it says is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency number (112 in the EU) or a crisis line right away.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 years old to use dazie. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at niklas@dazie.io if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your journal is yours
You own what you say and write in dazie. You give us permission to store and process it only to run dazie for you: to transcribe and hold conversations, write your entries, find insights and remember context.
To do that, your content is processed by the AI and infrastructure providers dazie runs on. Account and journal data are stored in the EU (Frankfurt). We do not sell your data, do not show you ads, and do not use your journal to train AI models.
AI makes mistakes
dazie's entries, summaries, insights and answers are written by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete or miss what you meant. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
Connecting other assistants
You can connect an AI assistant such as Claude, or another agent, to your dazie account over MCP or A2A. You approve each connection on app.dazie.io. A connected assistant can read your journal, to-dos, memories and call schedule, and add journal entries, to-dos and memories; it cannot delete anything or change your account.
What the assistant does with what it reads is governed by its provider's terms, not ours. To disconnect an assistant, remove the connector in the assistant, and email niklas@dazie.io if you want its access revoked on our side.
Using dazie fairly
Don't use dazie to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, to put someone else's private information into it without good reason, to overload or attack the service, or to get around its security or limits. Don't resell dazie or present it as your own.
Paid plans
dazie has no paid plans today. If we introduce one, the price, what it includes, how billing works and how to cancel will be shown to you before you buy, and nothing is charged without your confirmation.
Ending your use
You can stop using dazie at any time and ask us to delete your account and journal by emailing niklas@dazie.io. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut dazie down, we will tell you in advance where we can and give you a way to export your journal first.
Liability
dazie is provided as it is during early access, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential to the service, and then only for damage that was typical and foreseeable. Otherwise our liability is excluded as far as the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as dazie develops. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using dazie after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop and delete your account.
Law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
